into the US of A.
well after 45 mins in customs they let us into the states and we ended up in ohio, going to see dads autie tomorrow then head back up to detroit. the falls were pretty sweet and are wet as you can see by the photo. and got to go up the cn tower and do a tour of the rogers centre. we also saw where the ships come through the great lakes out to sea through a series of locks which overall lower the boats 100 m to sea level. the american customs officer was pretty friendly it just to a while to get the paperwork done. the hotel were are staying in tonight has free wireless internet, yay, so i have already spent the last couple of hours utilising the facility, to its full extent! as you can tell i also uploaded several more pictures than i usally would.
so keep it real and God Bless and talk to you from somewhere else, hopefully another hotel with wireless broadband, c ya daniel.

'summer holidays'
hi all, well summer is officially here, the 21st is the start of summer over here and the end is the 21st of september, they are a bit stuffed up. anyway, the first day of summer hit the highest temp yet of about 33, felt hotter cause of the humidity though. well tomorrow my parents get here and i am having about 3 weeks off. going with mum and dad for 6 days to toronto and ending up in chigago, then meeting 2 other trainees there and going to a big supercross event, and going to john deere factory and cat factory and watever else there is to see on the way back up here to canada. should be fun.
this weekend just gone, i went to a pro bullriders rodeo at the farm progress show on thursday night then went to the show on friday before heading out to our trainee weekend that was organised by the alumni. the farm progress show was maybe not quite as big as farm fest or ag show but there was more newer machinery and things. our weekend at kenosee lake was fun, had a funny game of golf with a couple of guys on a real nice golf course and visited an old school town where we had a game of cricket, yay, got to roll the arm over!
i will put a few more pics up with this post and will post again from the road somewhere now that i am wired for wireless.

wet wet wet
well at least it is raining in some parts of the world. last tuesday and wednesday it rained steady all day, i dont think i have ever seen slow soaking rain like it. we had nearly three inches for the week, but they do tell me that the rain may stop and that will be it for the year, cause that quite often happens. the crops have liked the warm weather and rain and are starting to really grow. today has been the warmest day since i have been here with the mercury hitting and huge 26 degrees, i even wore shorts for the first time and only one shirt!
the past week in the rain we carted some grain and fixed stuff, mainly repairs to the air seeder so it is ready for next year and one of the 8820 harvesters that he has for sale. this weekend i stayed home for a change and helped to a few things around here but mainly slept in and watched tele. went to the movies in regina last night and saw the longest yard, a funny funny movie, bummer we got there and the place was packed so we had to sit in the front row.
this week is the western canada farm progress show which is like a farmfest ag show sort of thing but bigger, the biggest in western canada. the trainees are meeting there on friday then going to another provincial park only an hour down the road from me so i wont have to drive far!
gtg and eat now, bye daniel

" on the road again, i been......."
hello everybody, well i have travelled to three different areas of saskatchewan over the last three weekends. as i had mentioned in the last post i went to medicine hat, then last weekend i went to cypress hill provincial park, and then this weekend another host family put on a tour of there area a bit further north only about an hour south of saskatoon. this area involves lake deifenbaker ( thats not how you spell it but i dont care), and as you can see in the photos they farm right around it. it was built for irrigation but many operations have gone broke trying to find a viable crop to irrigate. the area has some awesome scenery and the lake itself is about 150-200 miles long, so i guess its small by canadian standards.
we have had more rain here, not to rub it in or anything but everything is insanely green!! we have had a bit more rain which takes the total up to about 4 inches in the last 2-3 weeks. the crops are leaping out of the ground and looking good and we have just started in crop spraying for weeds.
thanks for the comments matt and linda i think you and a close relative of yours are the only ones to utilise this feature so far!
cheers and God Bless daniel.
p.s. i was chatting to joel just before on messenger and he had the web cam going so i got to watch him eat skittles and wave at me! fun fun
